Your Closing Quarterback
As soon as you receive your notice of possession you want to hire a lawyer from Alberta. A lawyer oversees the entire legal closing process and handles everything from preparing paperwork, coordinating mortgage instructions, transferring funds, registering the title with the land titles office, and liaising with the developer
Everything can be completed remotely so that you don’t need to travel to Calgary or even visit your property while you own it. Do everything early enough though to prevent needing to fly to Calgary to sign paperwork!

Agreement of Purchase and Sale
Notice of Possession
Mortgage Broker Contact Details

Your lawyer must be licensed to practice law in Alberta so you likely cannot use one from Ontario or BC. Ensure that the lawyer is experienced with pre-construction properties and the unique challenges of remote closings.
